A Relaxing Getaway to the Serene Town of Jabonga, Agusan del Norte

The small quiet town in the heart of Agusan del Norte is a place many have yet to discover. A Grade 5 community in the state, Jabonga offers visitors a glimpse into life in a quintessential Filipino town, complete with friendly locals, scenic landscapes, and delicious food.  

 Getting to Jabonga is relatively easy. It takes about 1 hour from Butuan City by private car or public transportation. You can also get there in about two hours from Surigao City. One of Jabonga's main attractions is Lake Mainit, the fourth-largest lake in the Philippines and the deepest lake in the country. The lake straddles the two provinces of Agusan del Norte and Surigao del Norte and is surrounded by lush mountains with beautiful views. Visitors can go boating or fishing on the lake and enjoy the scenic beauty.
